White marble-effect porcelain in a large format, taken to full height on every wall and run across the floor in the same tile. Using one tile for both surfaces removes the horizontal break a skirting or a change of material would put in, and in a room this size that is the difference between a bathroom and a marble box.

Every metal in the room is the same brushed brass: the ceiling-mounted rainfall head, the handset, the wall-mounted basin mixer, the flush plate, the ladder radiator, and the slim trim run around the window reveal and the shower screen. Mixing finishes is the quickest way to make an expensive bathroom look cheap, so nothing here is chrome.

The shower is a wet-room area rather than a tray, with the floor tiled through to a linear drain and a single glass screen, so there is no step up and no framing to interrupt the run of tile. A niche is set into the wall to keep bottles off the floor, a round backlit mirror sits over the wall-hung vanity, and the one warm note in the room is an oak door.
