Building work for your home, done properly

Renovations, extensions, roofing, bathrooms and repairs. We explain the work in plain English, price it properly and leave you with a job you are happy to sign off.

The jobs we do for homeowners

Most of our residential work is the practical kind: the bathroom that needs gutting, the extension that adds the room you are short of, the roof that has started letting water in. Omni started in bathroom renovation, so finishing rooms people live in is the work we know best.

Jobs range from a single bathroom to a full extension, and every one starts the same way: a visit, a measure and a written quote.

  • Extensions and structural alterations
  • Room and whole-house renovations
  • Bathroom refits
  • Re-roofs and roof repairs
  • Plastering and re-skimming
  • General repairs around the house

How it works for homeowners

No jargon and no vague estimates. Every job follows the same four steps, whatever its size.

  1. Step 1

    Enquiry

Tell us what you want to change. A short message and a couple of photographs are plenty to start with.

  2. Step 2

    Survey & quote

We visit, measure and talk it through, then send a written quote. You will know exactly what it covers before you say yes.

  3. Step 3

    The build

We agree dates, protect your home, keep the site tidy and tell you what is happening next. One person is your contact throughout.

  4. Step 4

    Handover

We walk the finished work through with you, sort any snags and sign off when you are happy, not before.

Every trade under one roof

A renovation rarely stays inside one trade. The bathroom needs plastering before it can be tiled, the extension needs roofing before it can be anything, and almost every job ends with carpentry: doors, skirting and fitted work.

Using one contractor means those trades are booked in the right order by someone who has run the sequence many times before, rather than juggled around each other's diaries by you.

Whole-house renovation and period homes

A whole-house renovation is several jobs running at once: structure, services, plaster, joinery and decoration, in a building somebody still has to live in. Run under one contract, the trades follow one order and the disruption has a start and an end you can plan around.

Older houses need a lighter hand. Original floors, staircases, mouldings and plasterwork are worth keeping, so they are protected while the work goes on and repaired rather than replaced wherever repair is the better answer.
