Blue onyx, brushed brass, two rooms
The main bathroom is tiled in a blue onyx-effect porcelain, set so the veining runs across the wall as one continuous piece of stone rather than repeating tile by tile. That is a setting-out job before it is a tiling job: the sheets have to be dry-laid and matched on the floor before anything goes on the wall.
Every tile edge is trimmed in slim brushed brass where it meets the plaster, including the long run along the top of the half-height tiling, where any wander in the level would show. A freestanding slipper bath sits against the feature wall with a floor-mounted brass filler and handset.
The cloakroom picks the same palette up in a smaller register: hand-glazed teal metro tiles stacked vertically to full height, a brass-framed mirror, a slim fluted vanity unit and a matching brass tap. Two rooms, one idea, different scale.
